Tennessee is renowned for fine artists and exceptional craftsmen, and of course exceptional craftswomen, and among the finest are located in The Great Smoky Arts and Crafts Community. This 8 mile craft loop winds thru the Smoky Mountains in Gatlinburg, Tennessee and is home to over 85 galleries and shops of working craftspeople. Judy Jones is one of those Smoky Mountain potters, one of those Gatlinburg potters, one of those “craft loop potters“. The studio and gallery is open most every day of the week, year round, so you can usually find Judy working in the studio and are welcome to watch this Arts and Crafts Community potter at work while you browse the complete line of wheel thrown, functional, stoneware pottery, as well as, batik clothing, baskets and other accents. Judy Jones Pottery is well known for original designs like Dogwood and Chickadees, Iris, and Moon over the Smokies on custom dish sets, canister sets and casseroles and has developed one-of-a-kind pottery items like her famous adjustable, domed bird feeders and her potpourri burners using oil lamps. All of Judy Jones Pottery is microwave and oven safe with absolutely no lead in the glazes. You can also find Judy Jones at the annual Gatlinburg Craftsmen’s Fair each October. She has participated as the October craft fair potter since 1985. Special orders are welcomed and we pack and ship. Visit us in the Mountain Arts Complex.
